Membership in the Press Club of Southeast Texas has grown in recent years because communication professionals recognize its value.

The club brings together practitioners in the print and electronic media and public relations field under a common goal: excellence in communication.

Membership in the Press Club is open to all area professionals on an individual basis and to organizations sponsoring several members. Memberships are approved by the Press Club of Southeast Texas Board of Directors.

Special sessions are held durng election years to provide candidates and club members an opportunity to get together informally. The Press Club has co-sponsored forums for candidates to debate issues.

Freedom of Information is important to the Press Club membership. Club members sponsor programs and address high school and university classes on the topic.
